Bag on pallet system: generation 2
Palletless filling of bigbags for products like milk powder, baby milk powder, starches etc. were a hot topic a couple of years ago. Nowadays palletless filling became a standard integration into our filling lines for food processing industries. Filling bigbags without pallet inside the clean room means that the bigbag must be positioned on a pallet in the basic care zone. Delaere launched a second version of its successful Bag on Pallet system. With the first generation Bag on Pallet, the filled bigbag was gripped by gripping arms and the pallet was moved under the hanging filled bigbag. The Bag on Pallet GEN2 is picking up the filled bigbag by means of gripping arms which are integrated in an electrically driven movable frame. This movable frame is shifted towards the pallet with slipsheet and is thus avoiding cross-contamination. The Bag on Pallet GEN2 system has been successfully commissioned for a number of customers in the food industry.

Bag on pallet system: generation 1
Palletless filling of bigbags for products like milk powder, baby milk powder, starches etc. were a hot topic a couple of years ago. Nowadays palletless filling became a standard integration into our filling lines for food processing industries. Filling bigbags without pallet inside the clean room means that the bigbag must be positioned on a pallet in the basic care zone. Delaere engineered a first version this Bag on Pallet system. Here the filled bigbag is gripped by gripping arms and the pallet is then moved under the hanging filled bigbag. However this means that the rollers in that specific roller conveyer are once in contact with the bigbag and the other time with the pallet (cross-contamination). For some applications this is not allowed, so therefore a second generation of this bag on pallet system was launched.
Mobile FIBC filling line
A mobile filling line, which can be excecuted open of closed, is mostly used by our logistic partners. The mobile filling uses different material supplies to fill bigbags and/or octabins, which are for example in a silo park. The specific installation can move automatically by means of several electric motors and a remote control. Another configuration is a closed mobile filling station, which is able to whithstand extreme weather.

Bigbag discharge station
Beside our well known bigbag and octabin filling lines, we also manufacture discharge stations for bigbags. Due to our in house design, this discharge procedure can be excecuted without any risk of spilling this product.

Automatic gaylord/octabin erecting system
Delaere supplied a gaylord erecting system to a chemical company in the United States. Gaylords are octagonal boxes which are known in Europe as octabins. This machine is able to erect up to 50 gaylords/hour. A robot is picking up flat gaylord bodies from a stack. A gaylord body is being dropped on a “zero positioning plate” and subsequently picked up again by the robot. In a next step, the gaylord body is transferred to the gaylord erecting position where the gaylord is manipulated into its octagonal shape. From the top, a bottom sheet is inserted in the erected gaylord by means of another robot-hand installed on a gantry system. Simultaneously, a pallet is dispended to place the erected gaylord box on. Before the gaylords are picked up by an AGV, a bottle-shaped liner is automatically placed over the erected gaylord.

Delaere bigbag transfer and disinfection unit
Delaere supplied a bigbag transfer and disinfection unit to a French company in the food industry. The company in particular requested a system that could transfer a filled bigbag from a wooden pallet to a plastic pallet. During this transfer, which passes over rails and transfer cart, the bigbag needs to be disinfected on all 4 sides. The system must ensure a reduction of 1log on the bacteria’s Escherichia Coli and Cronobacter Sakazakii. In a first step, the operator needs to attach the 4 loops of the bigbag to a lifting system to move the bag from the wooden pallet. Subsequently, the bigbag is transferred to an air lock. In this air lock, the big bag will be disinfected on all four sides. Each side of the bigbag is exposed to a set of 12 UV-lights for approx. 30 seconds. When the bigbag is completely disinfected, the bag is transferred to a second air lock where the bigbag is placed on a plastic pallet by means of a lifting system. This pallet is fed by a pallet dispenser and roller conveyors which are installed in a clean area. At the end of the line, in the clean area, 5 accumulation roller conveyors are buffering the bigbags on plastic pallets.
