Hydraulic filters are used to keep mineral and synthetic oils pure and clean. The hydraulic oil provides a constant lubricating film to all moving components. When oil is contaminated, this causes wear on the machines. The pollution may be caused by: - contaminated new oil (especially fibers, water, silicon particles,...) - contamination in the machine, caused by production of the new machine itself: especially metal particles, fibers, silicon particles etc. - external contamination: dirty pipes, dusty environments, poor tankbreather filters in addition, the oil can acidify and oxidize which creates a gel arises. This gel is a degradation product of the oil aging, a kind of polymerization of the oil. It is generated through high temperatures or high concentrations of metal particles which work as a catalysis definitely work in the presence with water. Thanks to a good filtration and preventive oil analysis you can avoid these problems on your machines and reduce it to a minimum.

The inspection app To carry out inspections correctly and efficiently, Transtech developed an inspection app in-house. A good inspection report is a digital checklist that guides technicians step-by-step through the entire inspection process. At each inspection point they fill in their findings, which can consist of an approval, a measured value, a photo or a piece of text. As a result, they literally cannot forget anything. Based on these inspections, a report is generated that also indicates which maintenance and repair work is required. When the required maintenance has been carried out, a new report is made which shows that the installation is in maximum good condition again. These are important reports because they provide a conclusive 'burden of proof' about the functioning of the installation and whether the relevant emission standards are being met.”

amixon® has developed an interesting innovation: a single-shaft powder mixing system with comparatively small dimensions. This precision powder mixer is characterised by particularly short mixing and discharging times, amongst other things. It is thus capable of processing large product quantities in a short cycle time. Ideal mixing qualities and excellent particle protection are achieved in a new way. The mixing container consists of a silo-like container in whose centre a large cone is inserted at the bottom. The powder mixer has a smooth, streamlined design and supports the flow process of the mixtures. Helical mixing tools convey the goods upwards in a spiral-like motion. This process takes place along the wall of the container. Having arrived at the top, the goods slide downwards and are directed to the outside once again by the cone. The homogenisation process takes place in the marginal area between the upward screwing and the downward movement. This process is gentle and effective. After approximately 20 to 30 revolutions an ideal mixing quality is obtained that cannot be further improved in practice. The displacer then lowers itself by a few centimetres, so that the emptying takes place quickly and without residues. The mixer usually discharges into containers, big bags or the storage tanks of a filling machine. If the discharged mixture would land in the middle of the collecting container, a cone of material would form, leading to two disadvantages. On the one hand, the entire intake capacity cannot be used and on the other, bulk material slopes can cause segregation effects. The mixtures are discharged off-centre and segregation-free from the powder mixer described here. amixon® has test mixers in the most diverse sizes for process trials.
